When they finally let me in the "adult" side of the
library, freeing me from the children's section, I
found a new world in the tales woven by Mary
Stewart, Elizabeth Peters, and Victoria Holt.
Is it any wonder that I decided to spin a romantic
suspense tale of my own? Well, three actually:
Nikrova's Passion, Arden's Touch, and Queen's
Cache. And they were all released in HARDCOVER!
Recently I revisited each, and ended up rewriting
a bit. Currently you can find adventure in England
dealing with a stolen and legendary piece of
alexandrite, or you can trail a camera team as they
try to track ghosts in a manor house transplanted
from Scotland to the Bluegrass of Kentucky, or
dodge a few bullets as you puzzle out what
gunman in the USA have to do with a long lost
archaeological site in Arabia.
Have I given up writing romantic suspense? Let's
just say it ended up on the back burner. I've got
two different stories in progress, one dealing with
a small community that doesn't like outsiders and
the other with a psychic magician who has set
himself the impossible task of finding a serial
killer...before the man murders the woman he
loves.
