Beth Henderson's first book was published in 1990. She has also written as Lisa Dane, Beth Cruise and Elizabeth Daniels.
While having written a number of fiction writing related articles for various e-zines, in 2011 Beth took the plunge into writing
non-fiction, though her topic was still related to writing. The book is WRITING STEAMPUNK by Beth Daniels.
Beth Henderson

It was back in the Dark Ages – you know, before all the technology jumps into personal
computers and the Internet – that Beth Henderson first put quill to parchment.

Okay, it wasn’t quite that dark an era. Henderson did have an electric typewriter, past
employment as a data entry clerk, as a traffic director (scheduler of commercials) at a
couple of radio stations, one rock and one country, and had spent time writing commercials
for the airwaves and cutting and pasting up display ads for a small want ads newspaper
and for J.C. Penney. She also had an undernourished desire to write novels. She simply
hadn’t thought up a long enough story to qualify as novel length.

Inspiration came with unemployment. Six months without a paycheck requires a place to
escape from worries, and Henderson chose to plunge mentally into the Gold Rush era
between job interviews. By the time a new position materialized, so had the first version of
Bird of Paradise.

Note that this is the first version. It took another ten years of rewriting, rewriting, and
rewriting the story before it ever appeared in print. And it wasn't even the first book to sell to
a publisher.

That honor belongs to
Nikrova's Passion.

Since then Beth Henderson has been published by seven different publishers and is the
author of 28 published books in hardcover, paperback, and e-book formats. Her books
have sold over 600,000 copies worldwide, and been translated in twelve languages.
Among these titles are tales of romantic-suspense, historical romance, contemporary
romantic comedy, and young adult romantic comedy based on the "Saved By The Bell"
television series. She holds a bachelors in History from the University of Nevada, Las
Vegas, and a masters in Composition and Rhetoric from Wright State University in Dayton,
Ohio.  Currently she is working on historical romances set in the American West, romantic
comedies, romantic suspense ideas, Steampunk, and beginning to recreate herself as J.B.
Dane in the mystery field.
J. B. Dane

J. B. Dane is the author of  "Getting Rid of Murray", a comedic short story featured in the Fall/Winter 2006 issue
of
Great Mystery and Suspense Magazine. Unfortunately, the magazine has since closed up shop.

"The Dragon's Tale" in the anthology Mother Goose is Dead from Damnation Press, is also hers, and a
comedic take on Sleeping Beauty's story.

"J.B." holds that same a bachelors in History from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a masters in
Composition and Rhetoric from Wright State University that Beth Henderson has, oddly enough.  In another "life"
she was a  jewelry department manager for JCPenney, and for thirteen years taught college level composition at
two community colleges in Ohio, as well as a course in how to write novel length popular fiction. In fact, three of
her former students are now published.
